Malta's national tv station, PBS together with the Eurosong Advisory Team have issued further details on Malta's Eurosong 2009 selection process. It is confirmed that the first seven entries will be performed live on national Tv, on Saturday 8th November during the tv show, Euroshow Box produced by Aceline Productions.As previously announced on www.PBS.com.mt and reported by ww.OGAEMALTA.com, TVM's Euroshow Box will be airing the 56 songs, seven per week on the following dates:
8th, 15th, 29th November,
6th, 13th, 20th December
3rd and 10th January 09
The running order will be drawn this Sunday 2nd November at 18:00 at the Corinthia St. George Hotel in the presence of all participants together with representatives from UKAM and AKAM.
20 entries will reach the final of 7th February. 15 entries will qualify from the votes of the judges obtained from the first and the second round. The other 5 entries will qualify through the Euroshow box televote. Televiewers can vote up to three calls from each line.
During the final of 7th February, another panel of 5 judges will be voting for the 20 finalists. Their votes will be added to the points obtained in the first round (counting as the sixth judge) and second round (counting as the seventh judge) of the selection process.
The top 3 entries will proceed to the super final - which will be held on the same night! Televoting will determine the winning entry out of the 3 superfinalists.
During the Super Final of 7th February, televiewers will be allowed to only ONE call from each line.
