A Unique opportunity for young singers to show their vocal talent on TV. The countdown for the third edition of the most popular Saturday afternoon TV show has started. “Sas-Sitta”, will go on air as from Saturday 3rd October between from 14.30hrs and 18.00hrs on NET Television. Spiteri Lucas Entertainment, the production company behind “Sas-Sitta” is busy preparing for another season full of entertainment, information, competitions and fun for all the family. This year’s edition will be hosted once again by charming Mireille Bonello and Ray Attard. Following last year’s success, one of the highlights in this season’s programme will surely be the 2nd edition of the Teen Singing Challenge, open for all teenage singers between 12 and 17 years of age who will have a unique opportunity to sing “live” accompanied by the programme’s resident band under the direction of Maestro Mark Spiteri Lucas in a singing knock-out series with various prizes up for the grabs, with various prizes and opportunities up for grabs. The winner will get the unique chance to take a trip down under to sing in a concert for the Maltese community in Australia. Thus, all singers who by the end of March 2010 will be aged between 12 and 17 years can apply to take part in the second edition of the Teen Singing Challenge via email on info@spiterilucas.net, or by downloading the regulations and application form from www.spiterilucas.net or www.ukam.info. Closing date for applications is Monday 5th October. Besides the Teen Singin Challenge, live entertainment has always featured highly in “Sas-Sitta”. And this year will be no exception. The programme will feature the Mark Spiteri Lucas Show Band together with resident singers Ivan Spiteri Lucas, Ludwig Galea, Debbie Scerri, Rebecca Debattista and new team member, Glen Vella, who has joined in an already versatile and talented vocal cast. These performers will surely interpret a vast repertoire of popular songs that appeal to different generations of televiewers. Competitions and prizes have always had an important role in “Sas-Sitta”. Televiewers will get the chance to win thousands of euros in prizes, ranging from goods and services, weekend breaks as well as holiday packages in Europe.
