Francesca and Mikaela will represent Malta at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest with their bubbly entry, 'Double Trouble'. The final was held at Where's Everybody's studios in Qormi. Jacob and Francesca oozed confidence as hosts of this year's Maltese selections. Apart from the final hitch due to Vodafone's late submission of televoting results, the show was truly enjoyable and typical of a children's television show.
All twenty entries were performed with skill and the junior artists gave their very best both vocally as well as their stage presentation.
Daniel Testa, last year's winner, was the main guest before the results were announced. At the end of the show the three winners were announced and these were as follows:
1st - Francesca & Mikaela - DOUBLE TROUBLE
2nd - Ylenia Vella - MY ONE TRUE PASSION
3rd - Sarah Bonnici - THE MAMBO SONG
The result was decided by a 6-member jury plus televoting, which counted as the seventh member of the jury.
