Enya Magri, who will be representing Malta at the popular festival Zecchino D’Oro in the coming weeks, has recently won the Verdinote International Festival also held in Italy. Accompanied by both her parents and her vocal teacher Priscilla Psaila, 7-year-old Enya showed a lot of confidence since the first rehearsals. In the first competition, Enya garnered 91 points out of 100. During the final, she was well acclaimed by the audience present and achieved a full 100 points from the jury. The expert jury then unanimously awarded Enya the Golden note for first place. Composer Priscilla Psaila also won first prize for the best music composition. Enya’s song 'KuKu' became quite popular during the festival as all the participants were singing to the tunes of the song. In the coming days Enya will once again fly to Bologna, Italy to participate in this year’s edition of the Zecchino D’Oro festival. |
