Malta’s representatives in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine, Francesca and Mikaela have spent the last few weeks preparing for their adventure which will start next week. The bubbly 14-year old and energetic 10-year old girls have managed to juggle school, hobbies and intensive rehearsals and are now looking forward to their Eurovision week. Francesca & Mikaela can’t wait to meet all the other participants and make new friends. They are counting the days until they leave Malta and Gozo on the 15th of November.
In the meantime, the girls are concluding their final preparations with the choreography, costumes and props which will appear on stage. All Eurovision fans are to expect a similar performance to the one they presented at the Malta Junior Eurosong, but there will be some nice surprises too in store. Francesca & Mikaela have been enjoying a few shopping sprees where they have been putting together their wardrobe for Eurovision week. They still can’t believe how lucky they are to be going through this amazing experience, something which they keep saying will stay in their hearts and minds all their life.
Finally Francesca & Mikaela will enjoy a proper send off to JESC at their Good Luck Concert which is going to be held on Sunday, the 8th of November 2009 from 6pm onwards at The Duke Complex, Republic Street, Victoria, Gozo. It is going to be an enjoyable evening of music, song and dance and everyone is welcome. Amongst the performers, there are going to be past Maltese Eurovision representatives Miriam Christine (Norway, 1996) and Morena (Belgrade 2008), and last year’s Maltese Junior Eurovision representative Daniel Testa.
