PBS has just released the 36 semi-finalists which will take part the second phase of the Malta Eurosong 2010. In the past three days, 122 entries were performed in front of an international jury made up of local and foreign music critics: Michelle Abela, Christian Axiak, Mariella Spiteri and Joe Tanti (Malta), Munro Forbes (Cyprus), Johanna van Lent-Singles (Netherlands) and Jeff Simpson (United Kingdom). The first phase was held behind closed doors. This Monday all the 36 entries will be performed infront of a different panel of music critics who will judge the songs once again. Kicking off from next Wednesday 9th December, all entries will be performed on TVM's show, 'L-Isfida' hosted by Malta's Eurovision 2000 entry singer, Claudette Pace. Songs will be performed six songs each week. Malta's next Eurovision entry will be chosen on the 20th February 2010 through a mixture of 50% jury vote and 50% public vote.
