MALTA HIT SONG CONTEST

TV
Throughout the Winter and Spring 2008
schedules, ONE TV was broadcasting
the popular afternoon
show, CELEBRITY SUNDAYS which
included the very
first edition of the MALTA HIT SONG CONTEST.
The show
registered a very positive feedback from the
televiewers and this was witnessed in the
Malta Broadcasting Authority TV Audience
Survery published in May 2008 where
CELEBRITY SUNDAYS ranked as the number one
show for Sunday afternoon among the Maltese
televiewers.
During the show, singers and songwriters
were
interviewed about their entries. 63
entries were submitted for the first edition
of the Malta Hit Song Contest. 20
entries qualified for the televised
semi-finals phase. 11 entries reached the
finals held on 6th July 2008 on One Tv.
