OGAE Malta's Deo
Grech and actress Alexandra Vella will
host this year's edition.
118 songs were
submitted for the second edition of the
Malta International TV Song Festival. 56 songs made it
through to the televised semi-finals phase
which kicked off
on ONE TV on Sunday 7th October.
The weekly shows are aired every Sunday between 17:45 and
18:40.

The semi-finals are held over 8
weeks, 7 songs per week. 14 songs will
make it to the finals to be held on 8th
and 9th December 2007 at the Catholic
Institute Theatre, Floriana.
Songs will be judged by a mixture of
sms-voting and judges votes.
Every week, the sms-voting lines will
open from Sunday (during the show) till the following
Thursday. |

At the end of the 8th
semi-final, the judges will meet and
will watch all 56 songs one after the
other from the televised recording.
Votes will be cast. Sms-voting results will be
added as the 8th member of the jury and the 14 finalists will be
announced.
UKAM will serve as an
independent observer throughout. |

The 14 entries from last year's final
will be among the songs sent to the
international singers, from which they
will pick the song to re-arrange and to compete with in the "Foreigners"
category.
invitations were issued to singers from
the following countries: Finland,
Bulgaria, Lithuania, Spain, Belgium,
Macedonia, UK, Poland, Turkey, Italy,
Cyprus, Romania, Moldova and Ireland.
