GLEN VELLA -  Glen started his singing career at the age of 13. He studied both practical and theory in voice and piano. Nowadays he composes his own songs and performs also songs penned by other composers. He is certificated in voice coaching for beginners from the Victoria Music and Arts Collage London.  Glen is a popular singer in Malta and qualified for the Malta Song for Europe 2005 and 2008.

1. What were your dreams as a child? Did you ever wish to become a singer or you thought of another career?

I always loved to sing but I never dreamt that I will become a singer. I always dreamt that I will become either a VET because I love animals so much or an Educational Educator. (However the last dream happened because I work as a learning support assistant in the mainstream school)

2. Are you more like your mother or your father?

A bit of both, heart of my mother and mind of my father ;)

3. Rich and famous .... or .... poor and anonymous?

Is there somewhere in between???
 

4. What is your idea of heaven?

Peace and serenity.

5. What has been your greatest challenge so far?

To keep respecting those who show me lack of respect, but that's life!!

6. What was your funniest experience with a fan?

Oh God!! It happened during the last New Year's Eve where I was cheering and dancing and singing to my (audience) fans I'm a believer and at one point I found myself totally flat on the floor. Oooohhh I was so shy and embarrassed!

7. Are you a shopaholic? If so, which shops do you visit mostly?

Hehe...I wish I have more time to buy clothes but I always visit Junky or casual smart shops.

8. What makes you angry?

Maltese busses driving clikki clikki (irritatingly slow) in front of me while I'm driving.

9. A 'YES' you're sorry you have said.....and a 'NO' you're proud you have said?

A 'Yes' I'm sorry I have said is when I used to be shy to say no

and

'No' I'm proud I have said is when I really meant to say NO!

 

10. Which career do you see yourself doing apart from the one you're already doing?

Maybe dancing? I love to dance but I don't consider myself as a dancer :/ maybe a Mover ;) hehe

11. Which is your favourite word....and least favourite?

I never thought about these things!! but I think.......
Favourite: Glamour
Least favourite: cockroach
