LUDWIG GALEA
- The Maltese artist who
has established himself as a 'crossover'
artist mixing pop to classical pieces. He
took part at the Eurovision Song Contest
2004 in duet with Julie Zahra; took part in
Simply Red's concert held in Malta and
performed Malta's accession to EU official
anthem.
Ludwig is the

1.
What
were your dreams as a child? Did you ever
wish to become a singer or you thought of
another career?
Ludwig: Being
brought up in a musical environment having
my uncle a maestro di capella of the Saint
John’s Cathedral and my grand father a
clarinet player with the arm forces band,
music is a must in our family. I always
dreamt to be a good musician however my
uncle always encouraged me for vocal
training since according to him I had good
lungs and my instrument was something
natural. Time proved him right. To answer
your second question you cannot wish to
become a singer. You are either born to sing
or not.
2. Are you more
like your mother or your father?
Ludwig: I
believe that I took a little bit of both of
them, however most of my friends and family
members say that I am more like my dad.
3. Rich and famous .... or .... poor and
anonymous?
Ludwig: Rich
and Famous…
4. What is your idea of heaven?
Ludwig: Venice
by night on a gondola sharing a bottle of
good Italian wine with my girlfriend

5. What has
been your greatest challenge so far?
Ludwig: Every
step during these ten years of my
professional singing career has been a
challenge. Life is full of challenges.
6. What was your funniest experience with
a fan?
Ludwig: I
slipped and literally fell on the ground as
I was approaching to take a photo with a
fan. |

7. Are you
a shopaholic? If so, which shops do you
visit mostly?
Ludwig: No,
I don’t consider myself as a shopaholic
however if I want something I’ll buy it.

8. What makes
you angry?
Ludwig: I
consider myself a very calm person however 2
things that really annoy me are people
touching my face and hair for no reason what
so ever and people or family members waking
me up while I’m sleeping.
9. A 'YES' you're sorry you have
said.....and a 'NO' you're proud you have
said?
Ludwig: There
are a couple of yeses that I’m sorry of ……I
mean who doesn’t? What I’m sure of is that
you learn from your own mistakes. I’m proud
to have said NO when I was offered drugs.

10. Which career do you see yourself
doing apart from the one you're already
doing?
Ludwig: I
really don’t know. I must admit I enjoy
cooking to relax however using my lungs is
all I can do I’m afraid.
11. Whis is your favourite word....and
least favourite?
Ludwig: Favourite
word----Hakuna Matata… ha ha ha ha ha (No
Worries)
Least favourite--- Shut up
